MRI – MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING
The image quality from our GE 1.5T Signa HDXT 16 Channel MRI Machine is famous for its accuracy, productivity, and support. This delivers you excellent performance and unmatched image quality.
MRI procedure is used to check the water/ fluid content of the body and the images show it as black-colored accumulation in the images.
An MRI scan uses a strong magnetic field to form superbly detailed views of parts of the body, particularly joints and soft tissue such as the brain, spinal cord, and muscles. Unlike other imaging tests, MRI does not use radiation. For this reason, MRI is of particular use in the evaluation of pediatric patients, whose organs are more radiosensitive than adults. MRI is a painless procedure and can take from 5 to 45 minutes to perform depending on the examination requested by your doctor.
CT SCAN (32 SLICE MDCT)
A CT (computed tomography) scan is a type of x-ray that creates 3-dimensional images of your body, including bones, organs, tissues, and tumors. The machine moves in a circular motion around you and takes x-rays of very thin slices of your body to create a cross-sectional image.
CT scans provide different views and far greater detail than a 2-dimensional x-ray. They may be used instead of an x-ray when your doctor needs to see soft tissues in your body, which don’t always show up on x-rays.
CT-SCAN helps diagnose medical conditions, for example when someone has internal injuries in an accident and helps doctors plan medical treatment.
CT scans provide different information to an ultrasound, which uses sound waves to create real-time images of the inside of the body.
MAMMOGRAPHY (MAMMOGRAM)
Mammography, also commonly referred to as a mammogram, is a type of x-ray of the breasts used to screen for breast cancer in women and to help diagnose breast cancer in women who have a lump in their breast.
If you are a woman aged between 50 and 74 years, it is recommended that you have a mammogram every 3 years to screen for breast cancer.
Screening mammograms are used to find breast cancers early before they can be seen or felt. Mammograms increase the chance of early detection and successful treatment of breast cancer, It is also important that women get to know the normal look and feel of their breasts even if they are having regular mammograms. If you notice any changes or feel something unusual, talk to your doctor.
DEXA – BONE DENSITOMETRY & BONE MINERAL DENSITY
Bone density scans, also known as DEXA scans, help to work out your risk of breaking a bone. They’re often used to help diagnose bone-related health problems, such as osteoporosis, or to assess the risk of getting them.
Bone density scanning, also called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) or bone densitometry, is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that is used to measure bone loss. DXA is today’s established standard for measuring bone mineral density (BMD). x-ray (radiograph) is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Imaging with x-rays involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body. X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging.
ECG – ELECTROCARDIOGRAM
An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a medical test that detects cardiac (heart) abnormalities by measuring the electrical activity generated by the heart as it contracts. The machine that records the patient’s ECG is called an electrocardiograph.
An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a medical test that detects heart problems by measuring the electrical activity generated by the heart as it contracts.
A doctor may recommend an ECG for people who may be at risk of heart disease because there is a family history of heart disease, or because they smoke, are overweight, have diabetes, have high cholesterol, or have high blood pressure. A doctor may also recommend an ECG for people who are displaying symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness, dizziness, fainting, or fast or irregular heartbeats. the ECG is a safe and non-invasive procedure with no known risks.
